hehe..yeah.. i hung up my shaking bottles,powders and milk teas to join the complex corporate world of communications..
on friday i got called by DST to report for duty on Monday..damn fuckers think that i would just drop everything to be their lapdog..roll eyes..but there was absolutely no way i could pass up this job, due to pressure from parents and their peers to see this young soul in a 'respectable' working environment.
so now, i, Fae, no longer will be known for bartendering for Pinkys,but am now the Personal Assistant to the Manager of Interconnect Services, Access Buisness Unit, DST Communications... i know.. what the fuck???
believe me, this job needs me to do stuff that i hate to do...filing, banking, typing, invoicing, managing a schedule..heck im the most disorganized person i know! canna kan manage someones life nie?? and my supervisor turns out to be Kee and Wafas aunt..shes a cool person, but very busy, and has loads of responsibilities..so that means a lot of work for me! ive been working there 3 days and i already filled up SIX DISKETTES with work...
and dont get me started on the jargon... i spent my first morning wondering wat the hell Access was to these people..dont ask me to explain..
and banking! one thing u should know abt me, I HATE BANKS, CHEQUES AND HANDLING MONEY THATS NOT MINE..and what is one of my responsibilities? to bank cheques into DSTs Citibank account...in my drawer at the moment, theres 4 cheques, all totalling up to nearly $40,000..and i wish i were kidding..on saturday i have to go to the bank to deposit everytn in..
sure this is all new because this is the REAL corporate world..but hey..throw me invoices, ill throw back what i learnt in A level Accounting. throw me proposals, il throw back Prom stuff and PRYNSA.throw me cheques and receipt books, ill throw back Prom experience...throw me customers, ill throw back charm from my Pinky days..

Note: theres a woman in my department who is 30 yrs old but OH MY GOD, everytime i have a conversation with her,i feel like im talking to an older version of Maw or Aimi Ding!!! she has the same sense of humour as they do!!
