was supposed to hook-up with someone in gadong but had dinner at i-Lotus instead last night in celebration of Najib, Yazid's brothers birthday.. so i was at a table sitting with Yazid, Hazie,Iqbal, my ex-web developer (i think he doesnt know i stopped using his masterpiece XD) Yasmin (too many JIS people!)and Raeky... there were lots of food!! but i was really tired so it took every once of strength to keep listening to their conversation and not fall asleep on Raekys shoulder...
the UBD acceptance list came out yesterday, and orientation starts on the 25th.. fits into my initial plans of quiting work on Saturday 23rd then off to UBD the following week.. Uand the funny thing is i dont even know my course... it just says BA programme in the Faculty of Art and Social Sciences.. so I THINK it was that English Language Studies programme.. I THINK..

at work we got a suprise because Wafi was just informing us that the UBD acceptance list was out when Zie(who was waiting for word from ITB) got a call from her friend, who saw Zie's name posted on UBDs list for BA Business Admin! Zie was so shocked since she thought she was headed for ITB, and only applied to UBD saja-saja.. turns out she was practically the only one from the Business School who got accepted to do a degree programme in UBD and not a HND programme in ITB... so she saved around 2 years? she was crying in happiness!! damn so proud of you Zie!!! =)))
while Zie and Liyana were celebrating their accpetance, i was quiet.. and i hated myself for it, because all that was going on in my head was "U got accepted to UBD...and......????".. basically i dint really give two cents that i got a scholarship to UBD.. im more tense in waiting to find out if i got the government scholarship or not..does that make me arrogant?
i mean, here are some people who are totally ELATED that they got accepted, and here I am going "nyeh...."...
no, i dont think UBD as a low-ranking instituition as some Bruneians do (im sure the people in i-Lotus last night would have scoffed in my face if i said that out loud) but i feel i worked my ass off in A levels so i can get more than UBD ya know?
but then, me working my ass off in A levels is a highly debatable issue =p
